Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement was prepared on 30 November 2020 and was updated on 18 February 2021.

It applies to the website annualreport.bankoffinland.fi. The website is governed by the Act on the Provision of Digital Services, which requires that public sector websites must be accessible. 

Our goal is to make our websites accessible to all users and for that reason we are constantly evaluating and developing them. 

We welcome user feedback on the accessibility of websites and services. For instructions on feedback, please see the end of the page. 

The accessibility of this digital service has been assessed by Crasman Oy. 

Compliance

Based on the latest assessment, the website annualreport.bankoffinland.fi is partly compliant and partly meets the Level A and Level AA criteria of the WCAG 2.1 guidelines. 

Partial compliance means that some features of the website do not fully meet accessibility requirements or do not yet fully support the use of assistive technologies, such as screen readers.

The content and functionalities listed below do not yet meet the accessibility requirements laid down in the Act on the Provision of Digital Services. 

We will update the list as website functionalities are renewed.  

Colours and contrasts

The button text contrasts do not fulfil the contrast requirements in the guidance. The focus is not sufficiently distinguishable when the buttons are in keyboard focus. 

In the Annual Report section, the icon contrasts and the related text contrasts are not sufficient.

Tables

Table headings are not programmatically marked as header cells. Some table headings are not logically above the appropriate column.

PDF documents

The website includes PDF documents that are not accessible. The PDF documents do not have element tags that would make the structure programmatically understandable. A language has not been specified for all the documents.

Select year and language

The programmatically determined tag of the select functions includes only the name of the function “Select year” or “Select language”. The selected value is not programmatically conveyed.

The search result links are not properly distinguishable from the other content (only distinguishing element is colour). The page title does not contain a search term. There is room for improvement in the use of header element.

Forms 

The website’s form labels, required fields and field instructions are partially deficient. In some forms, information about the success or failure of submission is not conveyed to the screen reader. The user is not informed about the reasons for a submission failure.

View obscuring content

When the text on the website or the view is magnified, the top bar obscures a large part of the screen. The problem is highlighted on pages were the list of contents is in the top bar.

The website’s cookie notification also obscures part of the screen. In the keyboard focus order, the cookie notification is only at the end of the page, which makes it difficult to close it with the keyboard.

If you notice accessibility problems on our website, please first send your feedback to us, at info(at)bof.fi. We aim to respond within two weeks (14 days). If you are not satisfied with the response you receive or you do not receive a response from us within two weeks, you may file a complaint with the Regional State Administrative Agency for Southern Finland.
